In 1939, after a short break due to the outbreak of war, the \u201eKautschuk\u201d factory resumed production as \u201eGummiwarenfabrik - Kautschuk\u201d in late October. In 1940, the factory was subordinated to the K\u00f6nigsberg plant \u201eOstland Werke GmbH\u201d. At that time, most of the machinery from one of the halls was taken out of Bydgoszcz, and metal production was started in its place, initially field kitchens, and then, towards the end of the occupation, ammunition racks for cannons and boat engines. In another hall, production of Rubber Products was maintained, mainly Hoses<\/a> and technical articles. In 1945, the occupiers carted away the rest of the machinery, leaving the production halls destroyed and the administration building burned down. <\/strong><\/p>\n Before liberation, the factory employed about 1,000 people, 60% of whom were Russian prisoners of war. The break in production did not last long. Immediately after liberation, the remaining equipment was secured and production of some Rubber Products began as early as mid-1945. This was possible thanks to the great determination and commitment of the former employees. Later that year, two departments were launched: rubber and metal. By the end of 1946, metal production was transferred to other plants in the Bydgoszcz area, and the Rubber Products Factory \u201eKauczuk\u201d, on the basis of the decree on the nationalization of industry, was subordinated to the United Rubber Industry Association, established by the Central Board of Chemical Industry, with headquarters in Lodz.<\/p>\n At the end of 1948, the United Rubber Products Industries was transformed into the United Rubber Products Industries, which was subordinated to 12 factories designated by consecutive numbers, including the former Rubber Products Factory, as Factory No. 10 in Bydgoszcz. In connection with the establishment of economic ministries in 1949, the Central Board of Chemical Industry transferred the United Rubber Industry Plants to the supervision of the Minister of Light Industry, who, on January 1, 1950, establishing the Central Board of Rubber and Plastic Industry, by order OR 1\/P.\/267\/50 of May 4, 1950, created a state enterprise under the name Bydgoszcz Rubber Industry Plants, headquartered in Bydgoszcz. In accordance with this decree, the property of the State Treasury was transferred to the enterprise for management and use.<\/p>\n The years 1960-1966 saw intensive development of BZPG. In 1960, construction began on a conveyor belt hall, where modern imported equipment was installed. In this hall, production of polychlorovinyl conveyor belts for Mining began as early as 1961, while rubber conveyor belts also began in 1963. A little later, a (second) molding articles department was established, equipped with modern electric presses, as well as two Hoses production departments, and a rolling mill equipped with mixers was expanded. As a result of the expansion of production facilities and the office building, the plant's infrastructure occupied an area extending to Sporna Street. <\/p>\n Do you have questions?
